우리는 특정한 날을 말할 때 요일을 사용해요: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 또 today, tomorrow, yesterday도 자주 말해요. 요일 앞에는 on을 써요.

날짜를 말할 때 영어는 서수를 써요: first, second, third, fourth, fifth, 그리고 계속 이어져요. 이렇게 말해요: the first of May, the tenth of June, the twenty-third of September. 짧게 쓸 때는 보통 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th처럼 써요.
