Two letters for two sounds at once
т у ф х ц ч brings two letters that each stand for a pair of sounds glued together. Ц is ts, the sound at the end of cats. Ч is ch, the sound at the start of chair. And Х is not the Latin x: it is the rasping kh of the Scottish loch.
The Latin T exactly: the bar across the top first, then the post down from its middle.
Looks like a Latin y and is read u. One stroke down to the right, one stroke crossing it and falling below the line.
A tall line with a full circle around its middle. Two strokes for the circle, one for the line.
Two slanted strokes crossing in the middle, like a Latin x – but the sound is a rasping kh, never ks.
Two posts, a floor, and a little tail hanging down from the right foot – the tail is what makes it this letter.
An arm that runs down and turns right into a post: like a Latin 4 with rounded corners.
