LinguaTwo letters, one sound
Spanish glues some letters into pairs that behave as one. ch is the sound at the start of chico. ll is close to a y. rr is the rolled r. And in qu and gu, the u is silent – it is there only to keep the first letter hard before e and i: queso, guitarra.
