LinguaReading in syllables
Russian is read the way it is built: consonant plus vowel, over and over. ма-ма, во-да, о-кно. Once you take the syllable rather than the letter as your unit, a long word stops being frightening – мо-ло-ко is three easy pieces, not six hard ones.

One more habit worth building now: Russian writes a space between words and nothing else – no marks joining them, no capital letters in the middle of a sentence. The only capital you need is the first letter of the sentence and of a name.
