1. There is / There are

한 가지가 있을 때는 there is를 쓰고, 두 개 이상 있을 때는 there are를 써요. 이 표현은 방, 집, 장소에 무엇이 있는지 말할 때 사용합니다.

부정	There isn't a TV.	There aren't any pictures.
의문	Is there a table?	Are there any books?

There is a lamp in the bedroom.침실에 램프가 있어요.

2. 가구와 집 안의 물건들

bed, sofa, table, chair, lamp, fridge, cooker, shower, mirror 같은 집 안 단어를 써서 방을 설명할 수 있어요. 방에 무엇이 있는지는 there is/are로, 사람이나 집이 가지고 있는 것은 have got으로 말할 수 있습니다.

We have got a big fridge in the kitchen.우리는 부엌에 큰 냉장고가 있어요.

3. 장소를 나타내는 전치사

물건의 위치를 말할 때는 in, on, under, next to, behind, in front of, between을 써요. 위치를 물을 때는 Where is ... ? 또는 Where are ... ?를 사용합니다.

next to	옆에	The lamp is next to the sofa.

between	두 가지 사이의 가운데	The table is between the chairs.

The mirror is between the window and the door.거울은 창문과 문 사이에 있어요.

4. 빠른 복습

집을 설명할 때는 이 요소들을 함께 써 보세요: 무엇이 있는지는 there is/are, 방과 물건은 집 안 어휘, 위치는 전치사를 사용해요. 예: There are two chairs next to the table.
