Building numbers: 3–10 end in ة when you count; 11–19 are “unit + عَشَرَ”; the tens end in -ūna (ثَلَاثُونَ, but عِشْرُونَ); 21–99 are “unit وَ ten” – سِتَّةٌ وَثَلَاثُونَ is 36; and 100 is مِئَة. Digits are read left to right.

To tell the time, say السَّاعَةُ and then the hour as an ordinal with the article – the only exception is one o’clock, الْوَاحِدَةُ. Half and quarter are joined with “and”, a missing quarter with إِلَّا, and at the end you can say whether it is morning or evening. A day of the week is named with يَوْمُ in front: يَوْمُ الْأَحَدِ.
الْمَطْعَمُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنَ الْوَاحِدَةِ إِلَى الْعَاشِرَةِ مَسَاءً.On Friday the restaurant is open from one to ten in the evening.
