Different mornings, the same evening
Read the passage, then listen to it. Answer ten questions about what you read or heard. You can return to the passage while answering.
My colleague Jo and I live near the office. We work and study, but we don't start our day in the same way.
I get up early every day. I have breakfast at home. Jo and I go to work together on Mondays. We walk to the bus stop and take the bus. We don't drive. Our commute is short. On other days I take the train.
“Do you eat in the office?” Jo asks.
“Yes. I have lunch there. Do you go home for lunch?”
“No, I don't. I have lunch at work, too.”
We start work at nine. We have a meeting in the morning, then we have a break. We finish at five. Jo and I go to a lesson after work. We study Spanish. We do homework at home.
My children study at school. After school, they read and play games. We have dinner together in the evening. We listen to music, but we don't watch TV at night. We go to sleep early. Jo goes to sleep late.
“In the morning, do you read?” I ask Jo.
“No. I read at night. In the morning, I sleep!”
