We use adjectives to describe people. Adjectives can talk about appearance (tall, young, brown eyes) or character (kind, funny, quiet).
After be (am / is / are), we use an adjective: She is kind. They are tall. We do not use a noun after the adjective here.
My brother is tall and funny.
Her sister is quiet.
Appearance adjectives

We often use have got for hair and eyes: She has got long brown hair. He has got blue eyes. For general description, we often use be + adjective: He is tall.
He has got short black hair and brown eyes.
Character adjectives
Character adjectives describe what a person is like. Some common A1 words are kind, funny, and quiet.
My teacher is kind and quiet.
Adjective order
When we use two adjectives before a noun, the usual order is size/height + age + noun. So we say a tall young man, not a young tall man.
