In this unit, you learned common food and drink nouns like coffee, tea, bread, rice, apples, and eggs. You also learned to talk about preference with like, love, and hate + a noun.
I like coffee, but I hate tea.
When we talk again about a thing, we can use it for one thing and them for more than one. This helps us avoid repeating the noun.
I love apples. I eat them every day.
Some, any, how much, how many
Use some in positive sentences: I have some bread. Use any in questions and negative sentences: Do you have any milk? I don’t have any milk.

At the café
At a café, polite phrases are very useful. You can order with Can I have ... ? or I'd like ... and ask for the total with Can I have the bill, please?
