The adjective follows its noun
An adjective agrees with its noun in gender and number and usually comes after it: uma casa grande, os carros novos, as lições fáceis. Adjectives in -o have four forms (novo, nova, novos, novas). Those in -e or -l have one form for both genders: inteligente, fácil (plural fáceis). Nationalities add -a for women: português → portuguesa, inglês → inglesa (the accent goes away).
