LinguaWhat you can do now
Every German noun now comes to you as a package: gender, article and plural. You can say der, die, das and ein, eine, replace a noun with er, sie, es, put it in the plural with die, and negate it with kein or nicht. The table puts one noun of each gender through all these forms – read it row by row, and the whole unit fits on one screen.

kein or nicht?
Ask one question: would the positive sentence have ein or no article before the noun? Then use kein: Das ist ein Problem → Das ist kein Problem, Ich habe Hunger → Ich habe keinen Hunger. In every other case – a verb, an adjective, gern, or a noun with der/die/das – use nicht: Der Stuhl ist nicht neu, Das ist nicht die Tasche von Anna.
Ist das dein Rucksack? – Nein, das ist nicht mein Rucksack.Is that your backpack? – No, that’s not my backpack.
