LinguaAsking the way is three sentences long
Open with すみません, ask with 〜はどこですか, and check what you heard by repeating it. That is the whole exchange, and the answer will be built from the same handful of words every time: まっすぐ, みぎ, ひだり, a landmark, and a number of minutes. If you catch two of the five, repeat those two and the person will fill the rest in more slowly.

The three particles of this unit
から and まで hold the two ends of anything with a beginning and an end – a route, an opening time, a train line – and と lists nouns exhaustively. None of the three changes shape, none of them ever moves in front of the word it belongs to, and all three will come back at every level of the language with the same jobs. Learn their position now and you never have to learn it again.

まっすぐいって、みぎですGo straight on, and then it is on the right.
