صَبَاحُ السَّبْتِ فِي بَيْتِ مُوسَى وَهُدَى.
مُوسَى مُدَرِّسٌ، وَهُدَى طَبِيبَةٌ. الْوَلَدُ فِي الْغُرْفَةِ، وَعَلَى السَّرِيرِ كِتَابٌ وَقَلَمٌ. نُورُ الشَّمْسِ فِي الْغُرْفَةِ، وَالْكَلْبُ فِي الْحَمَّامِ!
الصَّبَاحُ: شَايٌ بِسُكَّرٍ، وَخُبْزٌ، وَعِنَبٌ.
الْكَلْبُ: عَيْنٌ عَلَى الْخُبْزِ، فَمٌ عَلَى الْخُبْزِ!
الْأُمُّ: «لَا، لَا!»
فِي الْكِتَابِ: مَلِكٌ، وَفِيلٌ، وَبِئْرُ مَاءٍ، وَدِينَارٌ وَاحِدٌ.
سُؤَالُ الْوَلَدِ: «الدِّينَارُ فِي الْبِئْرِ؟»
آخِرُ الْكِتَابِ: الْمَلِكُ وَالْفِيلُ فِي السُّوقِ.
الْوَلَدُ: «أَنَا مَلِكٌ، وَالْكَلْبُ فِيلٌ!»
الْهَاتِفُ: الْمُدَرِّسَةُ!
رَقْمُ هَاتِفِ الْمَدْرَسَةِ: ٠٥٥٣٢١. سَنَةٌ جَدِيدَةٌ فِي الْمَدْرَسَةِ: ٢٠٢٦.
إِلَى السُّوقِ: الْأَبُ وَالْوَلَدُ فِي السَّيَّارَةِ.
فِي السُّوقِ رَجُلٌ: «سِعْرُ الْعِنَبِ: ١٥ رِيَالًا.»
الْأَبُ: «شُكْرًا.»
الْوَلَدُ: «وَاحِدٌ، اثْنَانِ، ثَلَاثَةٌ… عِنَبٌ!»
اللَّيْلُ: غَيْمٌ، لَا قَمَرَ. هُوَ آخِرُ السَّبْتِ.
