LinguaRoutines and time phrases
We use the present simple to talk about routines: things we do again and again. We often add time phrases to show when these actions happen, for example every day, in the morning, at night, and on Mondays.
I drink coffee every day.
A time phrase can go at the end of the sentence. This is very common and easy: subject + verb + other words + time phrase.
We go to work in the morning.

| in the morning | for the morning part of the day | They study in the morning. |
| at night | for the night time | We eat dinner at night. |
| on Mondays | for one day of the week, regularly | You work on Mondays. |
Some time phrases can also go at the beginning of the sentence. When they are at the beginning, the verb still stays after the subject.
In the morning, I have breakfast.
For meals and routine activities, English often uses simple action words: have breakfast, have lunch, have dinner, go to work, go home. Put the time phrase before or after the main part of the sentence.
On Mondays, we go home late.
