LinguaGoing to: my plans
We use be going to to talk about plans and intentions. It means you decided before now. We often use it with future time words like tomorrow and next week.
I’m going to visit my friend tomorrow.
The form is am / is / are + going to + verb. The verb after to is the base form: go, study, have, meet.

To make the negative, put not after am / is / are. This says the plan is not happening.
They aren’t going to have a meeting today.

For questions, put am / is / are before the subject. You can answer with Yes, I am. / No, I’m not. and similar short answers.

Common future time words are tomorrow, tonight, this weekend, and next week. They help show when the plan is.
