LinguaThe days of the week
Monday to Friday are counted: segunda-feira (Monday, “second day”), terça-feira, quarta-feira, quinta-feira, sexta-feira; then sábado and domingo. In speech -feira is often dropped: na segunda, na terça. “On Saturday” is no sábado; “on Saturdays” is aos sábados. Days and months are written in small letters.

Months and dates
Dates: dia 7 de setembro or a 7 de setembro (on 7 September); the first is o dia um (or o primeiro). Years are read in full: 2026 = dois mil e vinte e seis. Ask Que dia é hoje? (What is the date today?).
