Linguaunser, euer, ihr, Ihr: the rest of the possessives
unser (our), euer (your, to several friends), ihr (their) and Ihr (your, polite) follow the same pattern as mein: no ending with der/das words, -e with die words and the plural. euer drops an e when the ending comes: eure Tochter. ihr now has two meanings, her and their – the context decides: Lisa und ihr Hund, die Kinder und ihr Hund. The polite Ihr is written with a capital letter, like Sie.

Wie ist deine Schwester? – describing people
Ask Wie ist …? and answer with sein + adjective. After sein the adjective never changes: Mein Bruder ist groß. Meine Schwester ist groß. Sie sind groß. For people, groß means tall and klein short; jung is young, alt old. For character: nett (nice), lustig (funny), freundlich (friendly), ruhig (quiet, calm). Make it stronger with sehr or softer with nicht so: Er ist nicht so ruhig.

blonde Haare, blaue Augen: what people look like
Hair and eyes go with haben: Sie hat blonde Haare und blaue Augen. German says die Haare (plural) where English says “hair”. Before the noun the colour gets an -e: braune Augen, schwarze Haare, grüne Augen – after sein it stays bare: Ihre Haare sind blond. You can also say simply Er ist blond.
Unsere Tochter hat blonde Haare und blaue Augen.Our daughter has blond hair and blue eyes.
