LinguaFour ways to say what you like
For things you DO, add gern, lieber or am liebsten after the verb: Ich spiele gern Tennis. For things you SEE, use gefallen – the thing is the subject: Der Rock gefällt mir. Die Schuhe gefallen mir. When clothes look good on someone, say Das steht dir. And when the size is wrong, the thing is zu groß or zu klein for you: Die Jacke ist mir zu klein.

Clothes, colours and the shop in one table
The article of a piece of clothing decides everything else: the pronoun (er, sie, es), the question word (welcher, welche, welches) and the pointer (dieser, diese, dieses). Colours after sein have no ending: Die Hose ist schwarz. anprobieren splits in a simple sentence (Ich probiere den Rock an) and stays whole after a modal (Kann ich den Rock anprobieren?).
