“There is / there are” is há – the same for one or many: Há uma farmácia aqui perto? (Is there a pharmacy near here?) – Há, na praça. Há duas paragens nesta rua. Não há multibanco aqui.
Fica: where a place is
For a building that does not move, use ficar: Onde fica o hospital? (Where is the hospital?) Os correios ficam ao lado do banco. You can also say é: Onde é a farmácia? perto de means near: perto do mercado.
