LinguaRooms, pronouns and the dative in one table
Every noun of this unit carries three facts: its article, the pronoun that replaces it, and its dative after wo?. der Balkon → er → auf dem Balkon; die Küche → sie → in der Küche; das Bad → es → im Bad; in the plural die Zimmer → sie → in den Zimmern. After sein the adjective has no ending: Die Küche ist hell.

Nine prepositions and four position verbs
in, an, auf, unter, über, vor, hinter, neben, zwischen + dative answer wo?. The verb shows the position: stehen (upright), liegen (flat), hängen (hanging), sitzen (people and animals). The place can also open the sentence – then the verb still comes second and the subject follows it: Im Flur hängt ein Spiegel.
