Si usano there is e there are per dire che cosa c’è in un luogo. Usa there is con una sola cosa, e there are con due o più cose. Questa lezione ti aiuta a descrivere le stanze di una casa.

Singolare e plurale

Dopo there is si usa spesso a o an con una sola cosa: There is a bedroom. Dopo there are si usa spesso un numero o un nome al plurale: There are four rooms.
Le forme negative
Per dire che qualcosa non c’è, usa there isn't per una sola cosa e there aren't per più cose. Sono forme brevi e comuni nell’inglese di tutti i giorni.
There isn't a bathroom upstairs.Al piano di sopra non c’è un bagno.
There aren't three bedrooms in this flat.In questo appartamento non ci sono tre camere da letto.
