Mi sveglio, ti svegli: verbs with mi, ti, si
Many verbs of the daily routine are reflexive: you do the action to yourself. Their infinitive ends in -si: svegliarsi (to wake up), alzarsi (to get up), lavarsi (to wash), vestirsi (to get dressed). In the present, the pronoun moves in front of the verb and changes with the person – mi, ti, si, ci, vi, si – while the verb takes its normal endings: mi sveglio, ti svegli, si sveglia … Vestirsi is an -ire verb, so: mi vesto, ti vesti, si veste.
