Two nouns for “of”
Arabic says “of” by putting two nouns side by side: كِتَابُ الطَّالِبِ (kitābu ṭ-ṭālibi) – “the student’s book”. The first noun takes neither الـ nor tanwin; the second ends in -i and makes the whole phrase definite.
