The ten-question game
Read the passage, then listen to it. Answer ten questions about what you read or heard. You can return to the passage while answering.
Samedi matin, au café de la gare. Il pleut, il y a du vent et le ciel est gris : il fait mauvais. Chloé et Adam sont à une table, près de la fenêtre. Chloé a un jeu pour Adam : dix questions, dix réponses.
– Est-ce que tu comprends le jeu ? demande Chloé.
– Oui, bien sûr : tu poses une question, je donne la réponse. Et qui gagne ?
– Si tu as huit bonnes réponses, tu gagnes un café. Première question : quel temps fait-il aujourd’hui ?
– Facile ! Il pleut et il fait froid.
– Bonne réponse. Deuxième question : il neige à Paris en été, n’est-ce pas ?
– Non ! En été, il fait chaud et il y a du soleil. Il neige en hiver, et pas souvent.
– Troisième question : combien de saisons il y a dans une année ?
– Cinq ?
– Non, quatre : le printemps, l’été, l’automne et l’hiver. Quatrième question : quelle est ta saison préférée ?
– L’automne. En automne, il fait bon, et j’aime le vent et les nuages.
– Où est-ce que tu vas cet été ? À la mer ou à la montagne ?
– À la mer, à Nice, avec mes cousins. Là-bas, il fait beau tous les jours.
– Quand est-ce que tu arrives à Nice ?
– Le premier juillet.
– Et comment tu vas à Nice ? En train ou en voiture ?
– En train : je ne peux pas dormir dans la voiture.
– Qu’est-ce que tu aimes à la mer ?
– La plage, bien sûr ! Et le poisson au restaurant.
– Pourquoi tu aimes la plage ?
– Parce que j’aime le soleil et l’eau.
– Dernière question : tu parles combien de langues ?
– Deux : le français et l’anglais. Et un peu d’espagnol.
– Dix questions, neuf bonnes réponses : tu gagnes le café !
– Quoi ? Pourquoi neuf ?
– Parce que l’année a quatre saisons, pas cinq !
Adam appelle le serveur.
– Pardon, monsieur ! Est-ce que je peux ouvrir la fenêtre ? Il fait chaud ici.
– Bien sûr. Vous voulez un café ?
– Oui. Je voudrais deux cafés, s’il vous plaît. Chloé paie : je gagne le jeu !
À la table à côté, un touriste ne comprend pas le serveur.
– Pouvez-vous répéter, s’il vous plaît ? Et vous pouvez parler plus lentement ?
– Vous ne parlez pas français ? demande le serveur.
– Si, un peu ! Mais vous parlez vite.
Adam veut aider le touriste : il sait parler anglais.
Il pleut encore. Une femme arrive et demande :
– Pardon, vous pouvez fermer la porte ? Il fait froid maintenant.
Chloé regarde la météo sur son téléphone : demain, il fait beau et il y a du soleil.
– Alors, tu viens à la plage demain, Adam ?
– Peut-être, je ne sais pas. Je veux bien, mais je dois travailler dimanche matin. L’après-midi, pourquoi pas ?
