One verb for existing and for having
있어요 means there is and also I have: Korean does not separate the two. 시간이 있어요 is there is time and I have time at once. Its opposite, 없어요, covers there is not and I do not have. The thing that exists or is owned takes the subject particle 이/가 – 이 after a consonant, 가 after a vowel – and the verb comes last: 돈이 있어요, 언니가 있어요, 시간이 없어요. Who the owner is comes from the topic, if it is said at all: 저는 동생이 있어요.
Brothers and sisters depend on who is speaking
Korean has no single word for brother or sister. Older siblings are named by the speaker's own sex: a woman's older sister is 언니 and her older brother 오빠; a man's older sister is 누나 and his older brother 형. Younger siblings are simply 동생, or 남동생 (younger brother) and 여동생 (younger sister) when the sex matters. These words are also used for close friends a few years older, which is why you will hear 오빠 and 언니 everywhere.

|---|---|---|
