Usa there is para uma coisa só e there are para duas coisas ou mais. Estas formas servem para dizer o que há numa divisão, numa casa ou num lugar.

2. Os móveis e os objetos da casa
Usa as palavras da casa, como bed, sofa, table, chair, lamp, fridge, cooker, shower e mirror, para descrever as divisões. Podes dizer o que há numa divisão com there is/are e o que uma pessoa ou uma casa tem com have got.
We have got a big fridge in the kitchen.Temos um frigorífico grande na cozinha.
3. As preposições de lugar
Usa in, on, under, next to, behind, in front of e between para dizer onde estão as coisas. Pergunta a posição com Where is + nome? ou Where are + nome?

Para descrever uma casa, junta estas peças: there is/are para o que existe, o vocabulário da casa para a divisão e os objetos, e as preposições para o lugar. Exemplo: There are two chairs next to the table.
