One phrase for every counter

For “some”, join di and the article: del, dello, dell’, della, dei, degli, delle – the article of the noun decides (il pane → del pane, le mele → delle mele). After a quantity use di alone: un chilo di, un etto di, una fetta di, una bottiglia di, un po’ di.
Per la torta compriamo dell'olio, dello zucchero e delle uova.For the cake we buy some oil, some sugar and some eggs.
At the restaurant the meal goes antipasto → primo → secondo con contorno → dolce → caffè, and you order course by course: per primo, per secondo, per dolce. Likes come in two chunks that agree with the thing you like: mi piace + one thing, mi piacciono + several; non goes in front.
– Ti piacciono i funghi? – Sì, mi piacciono molto.– Do you like mushrooms? – Yes, I like them a lot.
