A weekend in the mountains

Sabato mattina. La famiglia Neri va in montagna con la macchina: la mamma Laura, il papà Marco, il figlio Luca, di sette anni, e il nonno Piero.
In macchina il nonno chiede:
– Chi ha il telefono?
– Io! – dice Luca. – C'è un messaggio della signora Bassi: «Buongiorno! La camera è pronta. La chiave è al bar. Ciao!»
All'albergo, sulla porta, c'è un cartello: «L'uscita è a destra, il bagno è a sinistra.»
La camera è grande. Sul tavolo c'è un po' di cibo: pane, latte e una mela. Luca mette la sua sciarpa gialla sul letto.
Il nonno guarda dalla finestra:
– Com'è bello! C'è il sole, ma sulla strada c'è il ghiaccio.
Dopo pranzo Luca gioca con la palla. Sotto un albero trova una ghianda.
– Nonno, che cos'è?
– È una ghianda.
Il nonno si siede.
– Mi fa male il piede!
– Allora stai qui, nonno.
Nel pomeriggio arriva un'amica della mamma, Giulia. Arriva anche l'amico di Luca, Pietro.
– Ogni anno veniamo qui! – dice la mamma.
Alle sette c'è la cena. Sul menù:
Cena del giorno
Spaghetti ai funghi
Pizza
Pesce con limone
Gelato
Acqua, latte, caffè
La mamma prende il pesce. Luca e Pietro prendono la pizza. Il papà e il nonno prendono gli spaghetti. Il nonno beve l'acqua.
– Com'è il pesce? – chiede il papà.
– Buono, grazie!
Per Luca e Pietro c'è anche il gelato.
Al bar c'è un uomo con una sciarpa rossa.
– Chi è l'uomo con la sciarpa rossa? – chiede Luca.
– È il signor Bassi. Domani c'è la festa del paese, con un carro e la musica.
Il nonno parla di sua moglie, la nonna Rosa:
– Quest'anno lei è a casa, a Roma. Ma l'anno prossimo viene anche lei!
La notte è fredda. Il papà cerca la chiave.
– Dov'è la chiave?
– Nel bagno! – dice Luca.
Lunedì Luca torna a scuola.
