Chamo-me Rui e moro no Porto. Esta semana faço a mudança para um T2 novo. Vi o anúncio na internet: «Arrenda-se T2 mobilado, bairro silencioso.» Gosto muito do bairro: é antigo, mas tem tudo perto.
O apartamento fica no terceiro andar de um prédio com elevador. No rés-do-chão há um café e uma garagem. O senhorio, o senhor Costa, mora lá em cima, no quinto andar. A renda é de setecentos euros e não inclui o condomínio. Pago dois meses de caução e assino o contrato na sexta.
A sala é grande e luminosa e tem uma varanda com vista para o rio. A cozinha fica ao lado da sala: tem fogão, frigorífico e um armário grande. Há dois quartos e uma casa de banho. No meu quarto, a cama fica debaixo da janela e a estante está atrás da porta.
Hoje a minha irmã Marta está cá para ajudar. «Onde ponho isto?», pergunta ela, com uma caixa na mão. «Isso é para a cozinha. E aquele candeeiro ali é para a sala, à frente do sofá.» As chaves estão em cima da mesa e os livros ainda estão dentro das caixas.
«Gostas da casa?», pergunta a Marta. «Gosto muito! Este é o meu primeiro apartamento e estou feliz aqui. Esse quarto aí é para ti, quando vens ao Porto. E aquilo lá ao fundo é a ponte.»
